When I direct my avatar with the up or down arrow keys now, it also scrolls the page in the respective directions. Is anyone else aware of this?

You need to click inside the box in which we see the game. Then our character's movement doesn't affect the scrolling.

If you're using a desktop it could be because the screen is too large. If so, try using a laptop.
